Yesterday while performing music I met a fellow musician. She told me how she loved music but had neglected this love for most of her life. Then a few years ago she got ill and had to have brain surgery. She didn’t know if she’d survive but if she did she promised herself to make time for one of her lifes passions. Fortunately she did survive. She went to her Mothers house and found some of the old instruments she used to play as a child. She cleaned them up and started playing again. That love and joy she felt as a child returned. And of course when we honour what we love it opens doors for us. Last week she was offered a weekly performance slot in a venue near where she lives!
