“Once” you Dare to Dream

by inspire on February 25, 2008

Well if we ever needed proof that dreams really can come true it was Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova winning the oscar for their song “Falling Slowly” last night. Marketa in her acceptance speech said “Fair play to those who Dare to Dream and don’t give up”. She continued by saying “the song was written from a perspective of hope and hope at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are”.

Have you given up hope on your dreams? It’s never too late to rekindle them. If you find it difficult to read some of these Dare to Dream articles because at some level they remind you about your unrealised dreams then its most definetly time to rekindle. It’s not a far off fantasy in some illusionary world to dare to dream, its simply a decision, a decision to take a step in the direction of your dreams, then another step, then another step. Sometimes we don’t know where our foot will land or if it will land at all but we still must take that step. Why?

Because in doing so we offer others hope. If we dont we lose hope. And when we lose hope our children often lose hope. They then look at different ways to satisfy the deep human need to be true to themselves and these ways may not always be positive.

Every step you take in the direction of your dreams stands as a monument to what is possible and as a stepping stone to those who walk beside you or follow you. That is why you must Dare to Dream, Dare to Follow Your Dream. No matter how big or small decide that this week you will take one step.
