We often take ourselves and life so seriously that it seems there’s nothing left to enjoy. Yet sometimes in the simplest everyday moments of life there is an abundance of joy, laughter and bliss. In 2001 I was in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina and I met a survivor of the war there. She spoke about how hard it was during the siege of Mostar with people being killed all around her and not knowing if you’d be next. Yet she said to me - “it’s amazing that even in such an environment we were able to find something to laugh about!”

You looked so serious. I didn’t quite understand what the point of the piece was. I am happy and I agree to lighten up … however, please smile at us more!
Makes one think that memorable things can happen in one’s life and there’s always something to get excited about!
Absolutely Roibeard! Carpe Diem!
Well it was a bit of a spontaneous one – I was getting too serious so I just put it out probably to remind me to lighten up!!!
Thanks for your comment Linda
