How to make a difference

by inspire on November 3, 2008

StarfishOne bright sunny morning as the tide was going out on a golden sandy beach, it left behind thousands of starfish.  As the sun continued to rise the starfish were drying up and dying.

One man walking along the beach picked up the odd star fish and threw it back into the sea. Thousands remained. Another man walking in the opposite direction saw what he was doing and commented – “theres thousands of starfish on the beach, what difference will it make to throw the odd one back into the sea?” The first man looked around and picked up another star fish and threw it in. He turned to the man who commented and said “it made a difference to him!”

Know what you do and who you choose to be makes a difference. This week will you pick up a star fish and throw it back into the sea?
