Mister Rogers and Successful People

by inspire on May 12, 2008

Last night while coming to the end of an excellent book I’m reading entitled “Piano Girl” (the story of one womens career as a professional cocktail-lounge pianist) she offered the following quote from a character called Mister Rogers:

“The thing I remember best about successful people I’ve met all through the years is their obvious delight in what they’re doing … It seems to have very little to do with worldly success. They just love what they’re doing and they love it in front of others.”

You see today as you read this article you can realise the type of success that Mister Rogers is talking about. It’s simply a matter of deciding to be “delightedwith what you’re doing, loving what you’re doing and loving it in front of others!

You don’t need to analyse anything else about how to be a successful person. Simply DECIDE, even if only for today to BE DELIGHTED and LOVE WHATEVER it is you’re doing. Be so delighted and loving that those around you cannot fail but to notice the positive difference in you.

Tonight as your day comes to an end recall your decision to BE DELIGHTED and LOVING and know like the summer blossoms whose perfume invisibly enhances our day, you have not only helped create a greater day for yourself but also for those whose lives you touched. And absolutely know like Mister Rogers says, YOU are a SUCCESSFUL PERSON!

Wishing you continued success
