The last article I wrote on the Be Inspired Blog was Never Give Up and if there’s one bagpipe band that never gave up on their dreams to become the Grade 1 World Pipe Band champions it’s the St Laurence O’Toole’s pipe band from Dublin, Ireland and their pipe major Terry Tully. Against very tough competition from The Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe band and Simon Fraser University Pipe band St Laurence O’Tooles won the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on August 14th 2010. Not only is this proving to be a very special year for the band but they have managed to win it in the 100th Anniversary of the band!
